Aluna Nungwi Beach Apartments is a new accommodation directly facing Nungwi Beach.
Aluna is characterized by a personal approach, good service and comfortable rooms at an affordable price. Feeling at home away from home.

The hotel is built under European architecture and offers a unique combination of modern design with African details and a natural and green environment.
From each room terrace you can enjoy a stunning view over the ocean, while the lively center of Nungwi is only a 15 minute beach walk away.

The rooftop terrace offers a wide view of the ocean and Nungwi village, and is a unique place to enjoy the sunset or for a special cocktail inside our yacuzzi.
A special setting that is best reflected in the full moonlight. Hence the name Aluna, “under the moon”.

Accommodations

We have 2 different rooms types, a Deluxe double and a twin / double bedroom. If you like to come with family or friends, we also have interconnecting terraces through the terrace gate doors.

Deluxe Double with Sea View

The spacious double room (30 m2) with a double king size bed, offers air conditioning, fan, a tea and coffee maker, a terrace with flowerbeds and kitchenette , sea views over the indian ocean, dining area, as well as a private bathroom featuring a walk-in shower. All rooms have a safe deposit box and mosquito net and are accessible by staircase only. All rooms are non smoking.

Twin Double Room

The spacious twin room (30 m2) with 2 single beds that can be combined to a large double bed, offers air conditioning, fan, a tea and coffee maker, a terrace with flowerbeds and kitchenette, dining area, as well as a private bathroom featuring a walk-in shower.
All rooms have a safe deposit box and mosquito net and are accessible by staircase only. All rooms are non smoking.

Our partner Mahi Mahi Restaurant is the perfect place to enjoy nice food and hang out to relax on the beach! It is also one of the few place in Nungwi where you have the possibilty to rent kite equipment or take a lesson! Our breakfast, which included in the room rate, is served at MahiMahi.

We had our Aluna bottle made to raise awareness to this problem. Buy your Aluna bottle and refill (safe!) water for free, during your entire stay. This thermos bottle will keep your water cold and is a great souvenir to remind your holiday on Zanzibar. Also it supports the weekly beach clean-ups we organize with our team.
